I would suggest using "sound boxes" and bingo chips. First you pick a word that has blends.. for example.. chin
You would have have her decode the sounds in that word.../ch/ /i/ /n/. She would put one bingo chip in the first box as she says the sound /ch/ then she would put another bingo chip in the second box for /i/ and say the sound as she is doing it.Then again in the third box for the /n/ sound. Then I would have her blend the sounds together. This activity helps the child in difficulty to visualize the sounds and to realize that words are made up of many sounds and that some of them have blends. Also you could have her clap each sound in the word. I use alot of games such as chipper chat to practice this skill and this way it becomes a fun game not a chore and gives the child lots of practice. Hope this helps...
