If you look in the Sound Change booklet, an /h/ substitution for an initial phoneme can be Backing, but may also be Frication, Initial Devoicing, Denasalization, Stridency Deletion, etc.
Every error should count as an error. Maybe your supervisor (practicum?), wants you to be creative!
