I have been doing phonemic awareness classes in each of our kindergarten classes for six years. I have developed a number of activities to use with a whole class or a small group. My favorite resource is a book from Creative Teaching Press--"Phonemic Awareness--Playing with Sounds to Strengthen Beginning Reading Skills." Written by Jo Fitzpatrick.
