I use the Basic Question series too. They work well for young kids adn they like Buddy Bear in the books. We used boardmaker and have a sentence strip for each book too.
~Give Buddy Bear _____ (object listed in books) for Why, When, Who & what Buddy Bear
~Buddy in house, etc. For Where Buddy Bear
