Posted by Kip Hering I have just received a flier from Huntington Beach Polo Club which I will post on the Basically it says they have organized a 4 Team league (we are one of them) (want to be on the team?)to play arena matches at the California Polo Club in Pasadena ( Aug 11), Lakeside ( Aug 18), Poway ( Aug 19), and Huntington Beach ( Aug 24-25). The cost is $200 per player for the 5 games. As noted, we will be hosting the games on Saturday August 18th. They propose to play in the afternoon/evening to avoid the heat of the day (and to allow players time to trailer in), therefore, there will (may) still be time for our normal club chukkers in the morning if you don't want to sign up for the tournament. The tournament will entail some long distance trailering, a new experience for some of us, and a $200 tounament fee, and a lot of work on Christina's and my part as we have to overnight their horses in "clean stalls". So we may be constructing some small paddocks in the near future. Anyway, thought I'd give you a heads up on the Polo activity in the area. Ready to go play in Poway on July 8th? I'm too tired from yesterday's Polo Day at the Del Mar Fair to think about polo today, but I'm sure I'll be there on the 8th. Regards, Kip
