Posted by steve The other issues are: 1) This 50+mph road passes directly through Catus County Park, kids cross that road on their BMX bikes routinely. 2) The blind corner is also at the entrance/exit of the Lakeside Polo Club's ranch. I emphasis this because we regularly have 8-horse goose-neck trailers pulling out into that blind corner with traffic exceeding 50 mph. It takes a long half-minute for a rig to negotiate that turn. We've had a few accidents but the worst ones are soon to come. I suppose this is necessary to gather the "counts" the traffic administrators need before they take action. Thank you again for getting the horse crossing story on the air. I'll be posting part of the letter to the bulletin board on http://lakesidetrails.tripod.com Keep up the good work, Steve Coblentz Link: http://lakesidetrails.tripod.com

Mr. Turko,
I'm in the process of ordering the tape since my wife woke me in the middle of your "Ashwood St. Horse Crossing" story. Just from what I saw I am most thankful for you bringing that story to the public's attention. The situation there is insane for reasons beyond what you covered (though I have to get the tape and see the whole story).
