Posted by Kip Hering It looks a little damp outside. Actually the timing was pretty good as I spread 300 pounds of "Weed'n'Feed" fertilizer ( next year remind me we need 350 ) on Wednesday. While pushing the speader I noticed that the field, while not having many punched-in gopher holes like before, has a lot of "cupped out" hoof marks and a few skids, which make for a bouncy ball and a difficult second shot or dribble. If any of you want to come out with me on Saturday morning, we could load the trailer with sand and fill holes with the shovel brigade. With 2 or 3 shovelers (4 max) and one driver it goes pretty fast and is very effective. The field will be much the better for it and those that work on the crew will now doubt make all their shots on goal next time we play. See you all on Saturday,
