Posted by Kip Hering It's raining so it must be Friday. I wish we could get that moved ahead ( or back ) to Monday so that we could have a dry field by the weekend. The good news is that track, arena, and the ring and the circle at the end of the field are good for riding and working your horses, with no dust. We have been hitting the gophers in and around the field, but I think some of our grain is either moldy or for some reason not very effective. We've been digging down and putting it right into the tunnels, but they eat(I think) the stuff and then come back a few days later. I don't know if it's the same gopher, but I'm sure they are related. We're not quite getting the results that I'd hoped for, for the effort we're putting into it. Christinta just bought 15# of the poison grain from the county pest control office so we'll see if that works better. Next project is to tighten up some of the warped boards and replace a couple of posts. Maybe tomorrow. If I don't see you at the ranch, I'll wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with lots of Polo. Regards, Kip
