I go away for 4 or 5 years and come back and nothings changed. I have two bead filters, one on the bottom drains and one on the skimmers. I don't have any 80cm koi, but the rest are all above 70 cms, for ten years I haven't had anymore trouble with my koi than anyone else with any other filtering system. I also have a homemade bakki shower. I will put up 100 bucks that says I have the best back yard pond grown Ochiba in the USA (pure accident from a spawn when I put someone else's male in with my girls) ........ :-)
