As is usually the case JR, the picture does not do this sanke justice. In fish, what one notices is the quality. She stands out among other koi around her. For nisai, the body was impressive coming out of the mud pond last year. Good sashi and kiwa, consistent, thick hi from head to tail. Sumi is coming together and connecting in some advantageous places. I like the head pattern for a sanke. Shape of pec fins very good.

If I was fortunate enough to get everything I wanted in the world on one koi, it would not only be body, quality and JUMBO size, but also pattern for the complete package. Ideally, on this sanke, the smallest hi patch in middle section (2-3 scales in size) could be replaced with sumi ok with me. A few tejima stripes in pectoral fins, characteristic of sanke, would be appropriate and look good. Who knows maybe they will come up in few years?

Given the bloodline and oyagoi as the breeder knows them best, I am told this Purdin sanke will be 6 to 8 yrs old before her best time for showing. Patience..... Future expectations and anticipation of a JUMBO, QUALITY, BEAUTIFUL koi is one thing which helps to make this such an exciting hobby and sanke to watch development in the years to come for me.
