Well you certainly set the bench mark high when comparing to Sakai, should a fair comparison be morte appropriate, same size farm, same experience levels same production ratio?
But that aside, the koi in the photos arent koi I would be shouting about, but then how do we know how these little koi will turn out in two years time?
Having seen, quiet closley, domestic koi in the UK, they looked truley awful when 6 months old, skin wasnt great, kiwa and sashi hard and broken, but when these koi reached two and three years old, a different story, ok they srtill were not All Japan contenders but would definatley mix it with koi in shows in the UK, and currently are.
I guess what I would like to say is patience, lets see what the koi will do and truley judge them when young adult koi, the result may be the same, but then itmay not.
