Hi Jim, We use a similar heat exchanger to what you describe in the anodizing business. They are all 316SS and hold up well in the acids (we have sulphuric, nitric, and phosphoric). Salt, however, is a different animal. The best material to use in a salt environment, in my opinion, is titanium. More expensive, but worth it. Bryan
