The fact that the SS grid was originally designed for use in steam works in your favor and high temp applications require alloys that are highly stabilized to resist corrosion pitting and carbide precipitation. More than likely you are dealing with minimum 321 grade or better, which should be excellent for a salt water application. I don't know if this will post up or not, but here's a graph showing cathodic, anodic properties.
