I just returned from Purdin Koi farm and a week of culling thru this year's crop.
In addition to the koi pictured on the thread,
they are introducing a shiro utsuri line developed from thier showa under the watchful eye of Bill McGurk. I also saw some incredible sanke's in this year's crop.
The baby showa and kohaku pictured are 9 weeks old and already 6 inches long. That leaves 4 more months of growth till harvest. The little four step kohaku, the first kohaku in the series of pictures is destined for my back yard pending the outcome of determining boy or girl.
water temps were in the mid 80's. Watching Scott Purdin cull and explain his vision is something
that is soon NOT forgotten. Speaking of something else memorable......gormet meals compliments of Maureen Mc Gurk.
last year, I got to visit with Nigel at the Ikeage and hope to do so as well this year.
