First they are too heavy to go to the next chamber, then the rising bubbles allow them to be removed as foam.
Got it.
Really, Ive got it.
But in the absence of the FF, having the biochamber after the UV catches all the too heavy particles as well as the fines.
And with the regular backwashing of the biochamber, this bioload is never reintroduced into the pond.
As far as the killing power of the UV, there is no green tint in the water, ever. So while there might be some of the UV wasted on the super fines in the water, it is not an issue when it comes to keeping the water clear. Which is the whole reason for the UV.
The point is the installation of the filter after the UV to remove the dead and dying cells removes the cells, as you posted the FF would.
