Uh-huh, well good luck on that, Stephen.
Meanwhile on planet earth,I wanted to add something--
The older universal view of PP was that it would use oxygen in the reaction and the fish could suffer from lack of oxygen. This is based in truth of course, but not as simplictic as presented. Depending on organic content ( the reaction with organics is an oxygen saturation level killer), oxygen may or may not be a serious problem.
So the very worst problem would be warm water ( holds less oxygen) and high organic content ( which would use a large amount of the oxygen) and this would all put the fish at risk - especially if the pond were heavily stocked. And ironically, all of this would allow the parasites to survive. As a matter of fact, there have been studies that show some parasites reproduce at a more rapid rate when the oxygen content goes low and the fish are stressed, Adding to the problem.
The bottom line, when in doubt or when faced with warm water and high organic content do add extra aeration. - JR
