I can understand hesitation to use HP liquid as it is difficult to control due to being both thin and clear as water. It is highly reactive, which can be either good or bad if overdone. The gel form is easily controlled, and less reactive but still effective.
The problem with the liquid is that over application can eat away at tissue. Good for debriding and disinfecting necrotic tissue in an ulcerated area. Bad if you don't stop there as it will debride good flesh as well if you overdo it.
I've only had a few occasions to use any topicals (don't we all avoid the need for it?), but I agree it could be an informative thread topic for discussion.
