Back to more "serious" matters

Anecdotes are beautiful things. I have several of mine own but consistent "repeatability" of anecdotal evidence has always been the devil. Therein lies the truth of JR's desire for well timed tests that could provide an accurate diagnosis of the root cause/effect in Lee's treatment protocol.

Of course we all know that organ defects or tumors cannot be treated with either Salt or any form of injection. In Lee's case we will never know if the injection had any effect whatsoever as we have no idea if the fish was dealing with a gram negative or positive bacteria or possibly some other osmotic malady that the salt alone would have taken care of. We're all glad for the result, but none the better off as diagnosticians.

What we are still left with is the misfortune of general inaccessibility to veterinarians and/or labs able and willing to test infected blood/tissue/fluids, to provide a proper diagnosis and injectable regime for each and every individual case. Short of that we're still shooting in the dark...
