Onward and upward MCA!

My hope is that we hobbyists will understand this virus, it's life cycle, unique characteristics and limitations as well as we, today, understand the many parasites that effect our koi. There was a time when that was a mystery. Something to fear and try to kill with everything and anything that was recommended before collections could be decimated.
Now we are armed with detailed information about those organisms. And with that knowledge we have been able to marginalize their presence and their potential to damage our collections. And just as importantly, pass that along to new hobbyists so that they may be spared the problems we experienced in the past.

KHV, of course, is harder to understand. That is why research and education within our koi community is so very important. Step by step and piece by piece we will get a full picture of this pathogen. It will be a long journey but hopefully an interesting and fruitful one. And hopefully it will result in concrete protocol and technique for protecting every hobbyist's pond and collection.
