The only fish that I ever had brought in that survived did not receive any antibiotics. None. Only the best water I could give it, rest nad Extra O2. That is all.
By the time most of the fish are brought to me to see, they are way past the expiration date. Most have either just quit/about to quit living or have died within the last day or so. The stench is overwhelming. So the less time I spend, usually the better. But I do try to get at least an overview of what the organs look like.
