Chris
I dont want to point any fingers at any brand of food, but none of the major food brands that are sold in the box stores have a use by date on them. The food can be 6 months old, or it can be three years old. Who knows?
The issue I have is not so much that the food itself caused the kidney's to fail, but instead other changes inside the fish. As I said in the other post, a lot of fatty tissue has been very common in the fish that have died. So much so in many cases that you have to cut through the fat to get to the organs.
That is a symptom of a non healthy Koi as well. Why is it storing that much fat. And why, in the spring where they have not been fed all winter do I see more of it than in the fall?
