Over the last few years I have noticed quite a few fish that have passed through here with dropsy type symptoms.
All of the fish with those symptoms have been brought in by customers.
WIth close to 5000 fish in stock at any given time here at the shop, I have yet to see one case here.
I do know of several ponds where the dropsy rate was close to 50% of the fish population in the pond.
One of the items that I found interesting was that in doing the background check of the fish with those sysmptoms, the overwhelming majority feed their fish the stick type foods from the big box stores.
So, the question is are the symptoms and the food related?
