in steps. As a whole presentation, then in detail and then once again as a whole impression. The whole takes in shape, body line, head, face, pattern over body and general impression of color quality abd general grade of the koi. The detail will be shape of head plates, eyes, fins, tail tube/tail fins and then color separation ( kiwa/sashi) shiro ground, nature of beni, nature and stage of sumi etc The whole again, movement, finish, final check for defects while moving. Final overall impression. JR
