Thats a great point Ray, I would agree all day long that Go-Sanke and even Shiro Utsuri, ( especially higher end koi) do offer the owner great value for money as they 'last longer' when kept properly. I would also say that for education purposes, you wont learn much from a Chagoi in your pond for 5 years, when compared to a classy Showa.
