I knew you would correct my thought process
.
I also knew that technically the breeding of Sanke and Showa is the most difficult, because you have so many mutated aspects coming together at once and battling for dominance, the trick being, to get all to play nicley together,
I also knew that Isumiya has lots of Yamas but I wont concide that Japan has more big Sanke than Yama's
.
And again that Kohaku is the begining and the end when it comes to Koi, and that most of us start with a kohaku, try all manor of shiny, sparkly things then come back to Kohaku.
But why? Who makes the rules as to determine which varieties are valued more than others.
Is it the ancient mystical ways of the mountains around Niigata, or is it a case of what the customer wants to belive.
With Go-Sanke, for instance, why did the breeders decide that these traits of carp mutation be the most alluring and the varieties that dictate the future of Nishikigoi. Or was it some outside influence, like the publics reaction to the varieties taken to the Tokyo exibition all those years ago.
