Hi Bred I know the dificulties.
I did it with my one fry.
Following good quality KOI fry you have to pick a resonably small number from the start.
The change of picking the futere GC of any show is zero.
What I am looking for is aspects that develop.
In the small number of fry there are some that have aspects that show quality. Even if the total fish does not stand up for any qauality.
It is a huge effort and I like to do it again.
For fry with good know parents.
And some grude quide lines to do the first Cull.
To select fry with the highest change of a showing aspect of for instance showa or kohaku.
I will not cull for perfect bone structure or perfect collour patren or any thing like that.
That limits the number of fry neaded to have some that show the aspects to look for.
