a laudable, but kinda wacky goal in the end. This is also the dream of many marine hobbyists at some point in their hobby experience- to create EXACTLY the conditions in a 55 gallon glass box that exisit in say, the Red sea.
Because that wild system and also the mud pond operate on different models, it is NOT possible to run a closed box in the ground like the mudpond operates.
Therefore the goal is not be literal in the matching of conditions, but repectful and mindful of those general paramaters.
A mud pond is of a seasonal existence and as such, in sync with the fish in the same setting. But eternal summer is not what the fish's physiology wants long term. And the mud pond does not provide that moment in time long term.
Be careful what you wish for----
