Dear Jim,

I certainly blush at being called, "a bright guy"!

However, the question I posed above is not merely whether there is a known treatment or present cure for hikkui - I am equally curious whether unlike the numerous diseases you listed, was anyone/anywhere working on a treatment or a cure for hikkui?

We are certainly aware that for many of the diseases you named various organisations are funding research, as well as, numerous drug companies are seeking the same cure.

Obviously, I am not proposing that hikkui corresponds to the required research as is known necessary in cancer research or lupus or even the common cold - however, I am still curious to know whether 'anyone' seeking a cure or treatment(for hikkui) which you (or anyone on this board) know's of?

I guess what I am actually considering suggesting is whether hikkui is something which we in this hobby might fund ourselves in order to find a cure?

And, if was - who do you believe is the primary responsible governing body for this specific research?
