Hi Steve. Interesting...I am just beggining to appreciate the role of Dissolved organics in koi pond health. I ordered the ORP meter thinking this would be a good place to start. My thoughts were to measure pond water ORP against source water ORP to get A handle on were my disolved organics load is. Is This correct thinking? Do you see TDS measurements as a replacement for, or as a compliment to ORP measurements? My wet thumb tells me Im in decent shape because I don't have any foaming, and my PH and alkaline reserves are very steady and unchanging. I do frequent water changes as well.But.... Im prepared to be surprised!
John
