Just a comment about ORP meters, which in the above you wish to add to your test equipment arsenal...
My advice is to be very cautious of which meter you purchase.
I have now purchased two meters and two probe's. Both were purchased from the same company.
However, when the second was purchased the company had changed sales managers. Whereas, the first company sales manager understood the need and use of the meter for koi hobbyistm, thus - when anything with the meter went wrong the sales manager who is now with AES in Florida responded with professional haste and took care of the complaint.
The second, however, was purchased when the first sales manager had left for AES and was replaced and is this companies present sales manager.
The second sales manager is too quick to offer no help whatsoever when my second ORP probe's effectiveness was questioned, responding that the unit had passed its warranty and that I was out of luck...if I wanted my meter to function properly, I had to now purchase another probe.
I was also told that the cost of the new probe from 'her' company was more than the cost of a basic ORP unit from AES...
Knowing how infrequent we actually use an ORP meter, I decided to forgo replacing the meter...altogether. However, the failure in this companies service and professional irresponsibility certainly left me dissatisfied and I mention it now as a warning to fellow hobbyist purchasing an ORP meter of their own...
The meters have a very brief life. They also require unusal care. And, they are expensive to replace. Thus, depending upon which meter you purchase you will get little latitude...should the period between your first use extend a few days beyond the posted warranty (when you discover it is no longer accurate and the seller will accept no responsibility for it repair or replacement!
