A purifier can become easier if two are in series. The second is redundant until the first is depleated.
The frequency of testing the purifier for depletion can be greatly reduced. Add a test point after the first filter and test the water for the polutant. When the first runs out you will see it far ahead of the time it will take for the second to become depleated.
Then take the second partaly used filter and install it in the primary position and the repleneshed filter will go in the redundant position.
Great subject for many of us. Water depleation is going to become a greater problem than it presently is and now is the time to look into ways of conserving it in our ponds. We can do it but we need to find ways of lowering the costs.
