Due to European Union regulations coming out of Brussels, I am unable to import koi from the UK to my little island of Jersey, Channel Islands, even though Jersey is not a member of the EU.
Because we never get SVC here (unlikely since we have no carp fisheries) and the UK does (due to the angling fraternity who bring in carp from Europe), you cannot move carp or goldfish from UK to Jersey. So I cannot make you an offer for your "stranded" koi.
Do you face any similar restrictions? Is that why they are stranded?
I bet they miss your charming personality JR!
Anyway, have a great winter and hopefully trip to Japan in January.
Michael
