Well, it maybe isn't just the point if Mr. Osamu Tezuka was a christian or not, but it's definitely because the messages that are contained (and the values that are taught) in the Kimba series are similar to the ones that are taught by the Christian Religion, which was probably the reason for the 1993 ("Canadian") Kimba series to be aired on many christian-themed TV channels worldwide.
