Many Wright researchers have Emeline Wright, daughter of Matthew W. Wright and Margaret Ann Ritchie, as being married to Nicholas Kearney. I'm a direct descendant of Nicholas Carney and Emeline. I have
pictures of her if you are interested. I'm trying to verify her last
name with documented proof. I have the Widow's pension file of Nicholas
Carney, and Emeline makes a statement that her last name is Davis. Please

As she states in her pension, she only had two sisters and one brother.
I know that this is the same Emeline, because all the Wrights have her
