I have been researching the life of James Logan Delk of Fentress Co. (born 21 September 1887 and died 9 April 1963). He was buried in the Sherd Delk Cemetery. Though I have quite a bit of documentation from 1909 on, I do not have anything relating to his years in Fentress Co. other than his marriage/divorce to Sarah Tompkins and the birth of a son, Verdie A. Delk, from that marriage. Delk's father was Sherwood Delk, his mother Genetta Cobb. I believe the family lived in the Forbus/Pall Mall area. Whether true or not, I understand that he left Fentress County after his divorce to join the circus as an acrobat. He lived quite a colorful life. I would greatly appreciate having a copy of his full obituary, photos of his younger years, and whatever other materials or recollections may be available. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
