Samuel Greer
Samuel, their first son was born in 1812. He lived in Cannon and later in Fentress County, Tennessee. Samuel was a well known Minister of the Methodist Church, and at age fifty Chaplin in the 11th Tennessee Calvary Regiment Union Army during the Civil War. At the end of the Civil War Samuel returned home to Fentress County. Samuel owned a large tract of land in Fentress County estimated over $1,000. Some of the bordering farms belonged to P.P. King, David Cooper, A. Hill, and Wm. King.
Does anyone have any pictures of any of these Greer's. My father is Richard Greer, from this family we live in Chattanooga.
