Broad Door School was located on Double Top mountain in northeast Fentress Co. At times church meetings were held there on Sundays. School was held there as recently as the late 1950s. I don't know how much later. There were 3 different school buildings at different times. I think the earlies one was built in the late 1800s. Grades 1-8 went there. Some family names that I know of that went there in the early 1900s are Beaty, Buck, Matthews, Smith. i have a picture of a school group that was taken there.
