Joel Atkinson was my 4th great grandfather. The info I have is similar to yours with the exception of his death ABT 1833 & Rottens Fork cemetary is located on or near the old Lucy Williams farm. Sarah Elizabeth Standley was his wife b. 1782 N.Carolina, d.1850 Tennessee. Joel & Sarah had a daughter, Milley b. 1813 Virgina, she married James Ridenour. The spelling of Ridenour changed at some point to Rednour. I do have some more info on Rednours if your interested.
