i had a dead jx305, only dislay would light. turned out that it had a stuck key, must of been locking up the micro. i noticed the key wasnt clicking like all the others, opened it up and repositioned it, and fixed. i guess maybe could have been a loose cable needing to be reseated, but unlikely.
