Ok. Nevermind. After being fooled for 1 day by the new adapter, the JX crashed at a gig last weekend. I finally broke down and took it in to be repaired. The next day the service tech called me and said that the board had some bad solder connections on the power supply inside the board. All is definately fixed now. Total repair cost after returning the new adapter to radio shack: $85.00
