ive just got a copy of cubase for my friend as she is writing a symphony. i intalled it the other day and bought got a midi interface lead, i plugged that into the back of the kepyboard and installed the software for it. on the lead there are 2 lights which are suppost to flash when a signal is being sent and a signal been recieved! first of all her keyboard doesnt have speakers on, so i dont know where i plug in the other lead in which is on the interface box! i presumed that the sound would come through the speaker on the laptop??? - i am not getting a sound, if i step write the notes in,i can hear the notes but i cant play them in on the leyboard and the box doesnt flash AT ALL! i really AM a begginer i learnt cubase on a course i did but as far as sound engineering goes im no good at all i really dont know how to get a sound playing! i feel i have tried everything i know to do! can anybody help???
