I have the EXACT same problem you are describing, yellow beat light goes solid and screen is frozen on startup. I pamper this friggin thing like all my gear, I dont spend tens of thousands of dollars on gear each year to trash it, it even has a dust cover. Its always been a little buggy, but so has Roland as a company. This is the first thread I've found about this problem and it looks like hardware failure. I even worked for a Roland dealer at the time i got it and saw tons of roland crap coming back with all sorts of messed up shit, more than any other company. While we even had a Roland Authorized keyboard tech on site, I wouldn't ever trust him, the guy was a crook! Charging people hundreds of dollars to fix stupid little things that took just minutes, even when certin things were under warranty he would say they werent and make them pay cash because he would get paid faster and have to do less paperwork. I give up.
