Posted by Gary Munday 1) Make 2 backup copies of your track (1 old and 1 new) = this way your safe if anything goes wrong. 2) Select your desired track and make any editing / changes to it now. 3) Record and manipulate your parts in playback order as stated, record in song mode. 4) Hold down shift and select your bank number. 5) Push PTN / SONG, do exactly the same and choose what memory your loading it into. 6) Before you do any of this, follow before any of these steps and delete the preset templates (otherwise the JX-305 will playback the original loaded material) 7) Shift > write > Save (memory number) 8) Any realtime data should be recorded by sequencing after part manipulate. 9) Manage your playback sequencer first because an "already written" bank number MUST be manually configured first. Recording it ontop of a pre loaded one won't work! This is the easiest way! And now you should have your song playback sorted! always check your system memory! Good luck!

I have had many emails requesting info on how to correctly setup the playback function. Whilst this includes some complicated programming and knowledge (and yes even the manual goes off beat abit), I can offer you some advice here.
