Hi Rocky.
I emailed a guy who had the same problem. He sent it to Roland. They changed the motherboard and charged him £150. I don't find that acceptable.
I am NOT an electronics kind of guy. I can assemble a pc, but when it comes to soldering a talk about capacitors etc. I don't have a clue. I opened the jx-305, and I suppose it wouldn't be that difficult to change the motherboard, but I bet that ain't cheap.
BUT you could try first to upload the OS as I described in Linsin's post.
