Posted by Amy I could go on about the amazing performers in the show and how great everyone was but I will just try to give details on Marin and Jason. The show got kicked off with Jason singing "Something's Coming" from West Side Story. He was awesome. A couple songs after that, Marin came out in a beautiful royal blue dress. If you want to see pictures I found some here... Anyhow, Marin sang "In Buddy's Eyes" from Follies. She was so amazing. She brought so much emotion to this song as she does with all of her songs. I too have heard Barbara Cook sing this song, and as amazing as she is, I have to say Marin really made the song come alive. And she looked so beautiful. A few songs later Marin came back out with Stephanie D'Abruzzo. This time she was wearing a black dress, I believe. They sang " There's Always a Woman" from Anyone Can Whistle. A really fun song with lots of fun facial expression and movement. After that, Jason did a quartet of "Tonight" from West Side Story opposite Audra McDonald. Vanessa Williams was the third and I believe Alexander Gemignani was the 4th. A few songs later Marin came out with Eric McCormack. She was wearing a beautiful maroon dress with spaghetti straps. Marin was the soprano singer for "Getting Married Today" from Company. Eric played the groom who was to wed Amy, and out comes Carol Burnett as Amy. It was a very funny number. At one point, Marin was singing "Bless this bride..." etc. and Carol approached her and started waving her hand in front of Marin's face saying, "Stop saying that! Hello? Anyone in there?" Marin just looked on totally stone faced. It was great. It was fun seeing Marin and Carol on stage together. I would have loved to see Marin sing Amy's part though. They all came out for the curtain call. From the left Angela came out first then Bernadette then one other person then Marin and Jason. Seeing legends like Angela Lansbury, Barbara Cook, Len Cariou, Carol Burnett and Elaine Stritch perform was amazing. But, Marin, Jason and Audra McDonald were the three who really stood out. They are so talented they blow me away every time. Marin I hope you consider doing more theatre or concerts in southern CA if not on Broadway. I would come again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the great show.

Well I got to see Marin and Jason at the Sondheim Celebration at the bowl. They are both amazing. This was the second time for me, as I saw them in Brigadoon last year as well.
