Re: Brake Pedal Pin
Try Again with a picture.... http://s1077.photobucket.com/user/creekds2/media/20180618_160120-2_resized_zpsmpw1y3et.jpg.html?o=0
I have a picture of the pedal and bolt that came out of my 170. I do not have a clutch pedal (700r4 tranny.) The nut/bolt assembly fit tight against the support flanges that keep everything in place. I did replace the nut with a lock nut.
Am I wrong in thinking theres supposed to be a pin there? If it actually uses a bolt what stops the nut from loosening. Does anyone have a picture of their brake/clutch pedal assembly?
So on my truck that I didn't build, I noticed I was having a problem with the clutch pedal feeling looser than it should. Looked under it and figured out there's a nut and bolt holding the pedals together, and the nut was loosening every time I hit the pedal. On every other car I've ever worked on its usually a pin with a clip that holds the assembly together. Is that supposed to be the case here and if so what do I need to have in there? I'd prefer my brake pedal didn't fall off while driving. lol.
