Re: FC-170 parts wanted (I'll be at the Iowa Jamboree)
I ran back through the old posts after my initial post and saw that mentioned. I checked eBay and they look pretty good. I'll check yours out this weekend.
Glad you can make it to the show. I'm using an aluminum 4 core radiator for a 65 V8 Mustang. It fits real nice and keep things nice and cool. You can check it out when you get here.
I've got a small laundry list of stuff I need for my '59 FC-170. I'll be at the Iowa Jamboree or would be willing to ship some of them:
-Transmission. I plan on rebuilding mine, but it'd be nice to have the truck up and running while I take my time with it.
-Radiator. Mine is pretty beat up. I'd also appreciate recommendations for modern alternatives.
-Heater box hoses to the dash. Mine disintegrated when I pulled the heater box to rehab it.
-Air cleaner to engine bracket. This is for the stock oil bath air cleaner. They're listed as part numbers 914071 and 914070 from figure 31 of the parts catalog.
-Rear fenders: I have a set I'm working on, but they're pretty rough. If someone has a pair taking up space....
-Tailgate brackets: The two pieces that bolt to the bed. I think this is part number 817307.
-Spare tire carrier
-Door lock set with keys. I have a set of locks, but no keys to match.
-Windshield header. This is the sheet metal above the front windshield. It's a long shot since I understand this is a common rust point.
Let me know if you have any of these!
