I use " PERMAGUM " . You can find it at refrigeration / air conditioning supply business or if you know someone that erects metal buildings , they use it at seams that need to be water tight . It comes in rolls making it easy to apply .
: I took the rear fenders off my FC to check for
: rust (there wasn't any.
: However the top part of the fender to bed
: mount had some type of putty as a facing
: sealer. The same "goop" was used
: between the fender and the spacer.
: MY QUESTION IS ; TO FOLKS WHO HAVE REMOVED
: FENDERS ON THE FC 150'S WHAT MATERIAL DID
: YOU REAPPLY TO SEAL THE FENDER TO THE BED.
: Back in the day I used standard "Fender
: welting" not sure if that's appropriate
: Thanks in advance for your ideas.
