If you removed both nuts off the spindle, then just pull the hub and drum off. Give it a yank. Oh and don't forget to back off the brake shoes with the adjusters on the back of the backer plate before you do. Sometimes the shoes get stuck in the grove in the drum.
Consider buying new wheel cylinders all around. Brakes are something to keep you from dying when driving this thing. Also pull the master and check it out. Brake fluid absorbs water and can rust the inside of all of the brake components. I haven't gotten mine on the road yet, but the wheel cylinders were full of rust and crap.
There's a seal in the back of the hub, which keeps the bearing grease in and the dirt out. You can't damage it when you remove the hub.
