I do have a few windshields, I will have them for sale at the next 3 FC Roundups. I do not sell for less money than Plinkington, I do add a portion of shipping divided by the overall delivery charge.
I made an arrangement with Curt at Plinkington, the last time they were in a production drought, I ordered, 24, I split the order up, with some 6 being sent to different friends, and a few others bought some, my commitment became 36, Plinkington made only 100 for that production run, I have bought more since then.
Again Plinkington currently only has a few left.
Last time I had to wait for production, it was over 3 months that I had to wait.
Today they are down to only a few again and then there will be another waiting period until rotation of the Vintage glass production run is done again, We with our FCs would like for FC glass to be a priority and we wait until last minute to think about the glass and rubber. We are such a small percentage of orders of vintage glass and we have to wait our turn, until new plate glass and new vehicle glass that is produced.
This is why I stock pile. I do not want to ever have to wait again for Windshields. Currently prices are at a better price at Plinkington, than they ever were.
This is my thought.
Could buying the new FC glass and windshield rubber become a future problem, if production ends?
Is your FC Body work the the most important thing to have all done before ordering the glass.
Keep in mind, they do need to be installed professionally.
